Acceptable Use Policy

    This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") governs the use of all services provided by Rainbow Web Solutions ("HostRainbow"). By purchasing or using any service from HostRainbow, you agree to comply with this policy.

    This policy exists to protect the integrity, security, and reliability of our infrastructure and services. Customers are solely responsible for all activities performed through their accounts.

    HostRainbow reserves the right to modify this policy at any time. Changes become effective immediately upon publication on our website. Customers are responsible for reviewing this policy periodically.

    2. Prohibited Activities

    The following activities are strictly prohibited on our servers and network:

    Sending spam or unsolicited bulk email
    Hosting phishing pages or fraudulent websites
    Identity theft or financial scams
    Hosting or distributing malware, viruses, trojans, or ransomware
    Operating botnet command and control servers
    Password cracking tools, brute force software, or vulnerability scanners
    Distributed Denial of Service (DDoS) attacks
    Packet flooding or network attacks
    IP spoofing or network impersonation
    Reverse proxy services intended to hide malicious activity
    Hosting hacking tools, exploits, or cheat software used for unauthorized access
    Hosting illegal pharmaceutical websites
    Selling illegal substances
    Hosting terrorist propaganda or violent extremist content
    Hosting child exploitation or child sexual abuse material

    Services found engaging in these activities may be immediately suspended or terminated without notice.

    3. Restricted Content

    Customers may not host or distribute the following content:

    Child pornography or exploitation material
    Scam or fraudulent websites
    Illegal IPTV or unauthorized streaming services
    Counterfeit product sales
    Malware distribution platforms
    Websites designed to compromise user security

    Customers are responsible for ensuring their content complies with applicable laws and regulations.

    4. Email and Spam Policy

    HostRainbow maintains a strict zero-tolerance policy regarding spam.

    The following activities are prohibited:

    Sending unsolicited bulk email
    Using purchased or scraped email lists
    Email spoofing or phishing campaigns
    Spamvertised websites hosted on our servers

    Any account generating spam complaints or causing IP blacklisting may be suspended or terminated immediately.

    Organizations listed in the Spamhaus Register of Known Spam Operations (ROKSO) are not permitted to host services on our network.

    5. Resource Usage (Fair Usage Policy)

    Shared hosting accounts operate within a shared environment.

    Customers may not:

    Use more than 20% of system resources for longer than 90 seconds
    Run background daemons or persistent server-side processes
    Run web spiders or automated crawlers
    Run BitTorrent trackers, clients, or peer-to-peer services
    Run gaming servers
    Execute cron jobs more frequently than every 15 minutes
    Store large archives or files unrelated to website functionality

    Unlimited bandwidth and disk space are intended only for website hosting purposes. Accounts used primarily for storage or downloads may be suspended.

    6. Shared Hosting Environment

    Shared Hosting, Reseller Hosting, Master Reseller, and Alpha Reseller plans operate within shared infrastructure.

    Each account receives limited CPU, RAM, disk IO, and entry processes. Accounts that consistently exceed resource limits may be suspended until optimized or upgraded to VPS or dedicated hosting.

    7. Network and Infrastructure Abuse

    Activities that threaten network stability or infrastructure are strictly prohibited.

    Examples include:

    Distributed Denial of Service (DDoS) attacks
    Port scanning or vulnerability probing
    Packet flooding
    Network interference
    Attempting to exploit system vulnerabilities
    Running malicious proxy networks

    HostRainbow may immediately suspend services involved in network abuse.

    8. Abuse Handling Process

    HostRainbow receives abuse reports from network providers, data centers, security organizations, and law enforcement.

    Examples include:

    Spam complaints
    Malware distribution
    Phishing websites
    DDoS attacks
    Copyright violations

    Customers may be contacted to resolve abuse issues. Failure to respond within a reasonable time may result in suspension or termination.

    9. DMCA and Copyright Policy

    HostRainbow respects intellectual property rights and expects customers to do the same.

    Customers may not host copyrighted material without permission from the copyright holder.

    Examples include:

    Pirated software
    Cracked applications
    Unauthorized movie or music downloads
    Copyrighted file distribution

    Accounts repeatedly violating copyright laws may be suspended or terminated.

    10. Offshore Hosting Policy

    For offshore hosting services, the above prohibited activities still apply.

    DMCA complaints may not always result in immediate takedown depending on the jurisdiction of the data center. However, valid court orders or legal directives may require service suspension or content removal.

    11. Software Licensing

    Customers are responsible for ensuring all software installed on their services is properly licensed.

    HostRainbow does not monitor installed software but may request proof of licensing if complaints are received from software vendors.

    12. Backups and Data Responsibility

    Backup services provided by HostRainbow are offered as a courtesy and are not guaranteed.

    Customers are responsible for maintaining their own backups of all files and databases. HostRainbow shall not be liable for any loss of data resulting from hardware failure, software malfunction, or human error.

    13. Billing and Refunds

    HostRainbow offers monthly, quarterly, semi-annual, annual, and bi-annual billing cycles depending on the service.

    A 30-day money-back guarantee applies only to shared hosting plans unless otherwise specified.

    Billing automation processes such as invoice generation, suspension, and termination are executed daily at approximately 2:00 AM IST.

    Accepted payment methods include Credit Card, Debit Card, Net Banking, UPI, IMPS, RTGS, and NEFT.

    14. Enforcement

    HostRainbow reserves the right to suspend or terminate services that violate this Acceptable Use Policy.

    Severe violations may result in immediate termination without prior notice or refund. Minor violations may receive a warning and time to resolve the issue.

    Emergency actions may be taken to protect infrastructure or other customers.

    15. Disclaimer

    HostRainbow shall not be responsible for any damages your business may suffer due to service interruptions, delays, or data loss.

    Services are provided on an "as-is" basis without warranties of any kind, including merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose.

    HostRainbow reserves the right to modify service pricing, policies, or terms at any time. Customers are bound by the latest version published on the website.

    Abusive or threatening behavior toward our staff may result in immediate service termination without refund.

    16. Reporting Violations

    If you become aware of any violation of this Acceptable Use Policy, please report it to support@hostrainbow.in. All abuse reports are reviewed and investigated promptly.
