Unlimited Hosting Policy

    Last updated: March 10, 2026

    1. Overview

This Unlimited Hosting Policy explains how “Unlimited” resources are defined and applied by Rainbow Web Solutions ("HostRainbow").

These policies apply only to shared hosting services including Web Hosting, Offshore Shared Hosting, WordPress Hosting, Cloud Hosting, and Reseller Hosting plans.

The purpose of this policy is to ensure fair resource usage and maintain stable performance for all customers using our shared hosting infrastructure.

    2. Meaning of Unlimited Resources

Unlimited Disk Space, Bandwidth, and Websites means that HostRainbow does not impose fixed limits on these resources during the normal operation of a personal or small business website.

Customers may use these resources as needed for legitimate website hosting purposes as long as their usage does not negatively affect server stability, performance, or other customers.

If a website's resource usage becomes excessive or threatens the stability of the shared hosting environment, we may request that the customer upgrade to a VPS or dedicated hosting plan.

    3. What Unlimited Does Not Mean

Unlimited hosting does not mean unlimited server resources.

Shared hosting servers are designed to host multiple websites that share CPU, RAM, storage, and network resources.

Unlimited plans are intended for typical websites operated by individuals or small to medium businesses. They are not designed for high-demand enterprise applications or services better suited for VPS or dedicated servers.

HostRainbow may implement automated safeguards to protect the shared hosting environment if any website begins consuming excessive resources.

    4. Storage Usage Policy

Shared hosting accounts are intended for hosting website content.

Accounts may not be used for large-scale file storage, backup storage, or file distribution services.

    Prohibited storage uses include:

Video or media storage unrelated to website functionality
    File archive storage
    Backup storage systems
    Software repositories or installers
    Game files or executable distribution
    File sharing or peer-to-peer content

Accounts found using hosting primarily for storage or distribution purposes may be suspended or terminated.

    5. Database Usage Limits

Customers may create multiple databases within their hosting accounts.

    However, to maintain server performance:

Each individual database should not exceed 1 GB in size.

Databases exceeding this size may negatively affect server performance. HostRainbow may request database optimization or require the customer to upgrade to a higher-tier hosting solution.

    6. Bandwidth and File Transfer

HostRainbow does not impose fixed limits on the amount of visitor traffic a website may receive.

Websites may use bandwidth as required to serve normal website traffic.

However, if excessive bandwidth consumption negatively impacts other customers or server performance, we reserve the right to temporarily limit bandwidth usage or require an upgrade to a VPS or dedicated server.

    7. Reseller Hosting Limits

Reseller Unlimited plans allow the creation of up to 400 cPanel accounts.

If the number of cPanel accounts exceeds this limit, additional fees may apply for each additional account.

    8. Unacceptable Resource Usage

The following activities are considered excessive or unacceptable resource usage on shared hosting servers:

Running cron jobs with intervals shorter than 15 minutes
Running MySQL queries longer than 30 seconds
Using 25% or more of server resources for longer than 90 seconds
Running resource-intensive scripts or applications that degrade server performance

Activities that may cause excessive usage include CGI scripts, PHP scripts, FTP operations, or automated processes.

    9. Email Storage Limits

To maintain server performance and reliability:

Individual mailbox size should not exceed 5 GB
Combined mailbox storage per domain should not exceed 50 GB

Accounts exceeding these limits may be required to reduce mailbox storage or migrate email services to a dedicated email hosting solution.

    10. Enforcement

HostRainbow reserves the right to restrict, suspend, or terminate accounts that violate this Unlimited Hosting Policy.

Customers may be asked to optimize their websites or upgrade to VPS or dedicated hosting if resource usage exceeds acceptable shared hosting limits.

    11. Policy Updates

This Unlimited Hosting Policy may be updated periodically.

Any changes will be published on our website. Continued use of services after policy updates constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
